@bcouriers Of course. We have others that we had before, but removed the low selling items to keep focus on the important sku's. That said, split testing with new unique Flavors, and especially remarketing new flavours to existing repeat customers would be a good tactic. In fact, going to go look at doing that now :)

Some important questions:
-You mention a partner who has 50%. We are buying *100%* of the company and she will no longer be owning 50%, correct?
-Is there any inventory with the purchase of the company, or will it be at 0.
-Also, are there outstanding orders, that the new buyer would have to cover. I don't like when I see companies take a large sale , keep that money and then tell the new owner they have to pay for it and fulfill it.
-You stopped listing advertising costs from Feb. What are costs from feb-now?

cpaddoncpaddon wrote :

@CTR Marketing Yes I am aware! The profit numbers weren't right. Revenue has not changed, implied costs did. Please read the auction copy as I talked about this.

We'd been calculating costs based on costs averages before and there was clear problems with it. There was also some costs with marketing that weren't factored in. It needed to be re-done. It became quite obvious that there were errors and oversight before which is why I didn't sell it publicly.

I'd be more concerned if the numbers were increased, not descreased but of course it's a legitimate concern.

@JohnCG We don't really push the subscriptions. We've had a few in the past but we don't currently have any active subs for the monthly coffee

Other owner - she will not own 50% no, I'm selling on her behalf. I'll have her jump in in the next day or two here if anybody has any questions.

There's no stock of the coffee nope, it is 100% drop shipped.

Outstanding orders will be covered before transfer to the buyer, I was under the impression that that was pretty routine.

Since February when Olivia Joined, and also Mitchell - we cut out the Facebook ad costs. Mitchell was more active engaging the email list, sending free samples and getting posts on social media then re-sharing as well as some various other tactics that I'd prefer not to share publicly. That said There are other misc and one off costs factored into each month of revenue. For sake of simplicity, I included the monthly Facebook ad costs because it is most common

2. Yes they do, if you want to drop me a PM with your email I can send you over an example of the packaging.

We sent a bag to Jonathan Cheban some number of months ago. He ended up posting it on his blog at thedishh.com/

After that, he commented on his 'thedishh.com/' Facebook account that he tried and loved the maple bacon coffee, and that he showed Kim Kardashian, and said that if that post had gotten 500 re-shares that he would get Kim to drink bacon coffee (which was our brand) and post a video of her reaction

I of course then went and bought 500 shares immediately, she ended up posting a comment but there was no video unfortunately

How could I ever trust that you be able to provide phone support for three days a week for the first 30 days 5of you can't manage your daily bid acceptance which only takes a minute at most? To be fair you do have allot of questions to answer but it seems it takes a while for you to answer those as well. As well you said you had problems with the supplier and it hurt the business. Have you found a secondary supplier? How does the new owner protect themselves from the supplier doing the same thing again or even changing the prices or discontinuing a product?

@Daystroy,

Thanks for the interest so far, and I do apologize for not being able to get back to you right away.

To address your comment, I guess my response would be this: While your concern is definitely warranted, and I do totally understand - I am putting in 2 hours / day right now back and fourth with different interesting people throughout the auction.

In retrospect, with both Mitchell & Olivia available for the post-sale support and having 2 hours daily set aside if the new owner of the business needs help, I do think would more than suffice

There has been +/- 30-40 new in-depth messages from interested buyers almost every day that I’ve been back and fourth with in the last week. In addition to that, multiple calls, and even meeting some of the local buyers it is a lot to manage - especially while running 2 other businesses.

All of that in mind, I'm not here to make excuses as to why I'm busy because we all are. Bearing that in mind, I'm going to put together an AMA on Reddit for tomorrow evening, as well as a webinar Sunday evening. Hopefully those will help answer a lot of the duplicate questions that are taking up a big chunk of the time commitment this week

Also, I've mentioned earlier this earlier but for those of you who haven't seen it - the best way to get in touch with me is by adding me on Skype:[email protected]

Will post the details here tonight for the AMA once setup

Are there any employees that go with sale?

A: There aren't any employees that go with the sale no, but if it were a deal breaker for the buyer I can potentially setup a roll out of 60 days post sale where Mitchell can still operate the website whilst training someone on the buyers end. Of course, you / they would be responsible for compensating him. If you want to talk more about this, please private message me.

If so do we have to hire them as well?

A: There is nobody that you as the buyer would be obligated to keep on board, no

How solid is the contract with supplier?

A: Understanding that it is my opinino, but one that comes with a lot of experience in what I do - it is rock solid.

Is there anyway the supplier will decide to just stop supplying to Bewdly?

A: Suppliers need re-sellers as much as re-sellers need suppliers. Maybe not quite as much, but in retrospect we are a pretty big re-seller. Provided the person who takes over that relationship doesn't do anything like consistently not pay for orders or bounce payments, there's an awfully small chance of that ever happening.

Who are your main competitors in this area?

I'm happy to discuss strategy / competitive market with you one on one. I'm not that well versed with the competition in the space but, Mitchell would be. I can have him talk to you further about this if you'd like.

@soundrink We do our own packaging with a 3rd party packaging supplier, you can customize it as much as you'd like. The supplier only uses what you give them.

@timwal12 Only about 15-20% of sales are paid through PayPal, the rest are through Shopify payments which is regular credit card

The Manual payments accounts for the wholesale order from March through wire transfer

As far as the rest, it's about 80% credit card 20% PayPal.

Shopify payments transfer directly to bank account, which is why you don't see the payments in PayPal

I am a little bit confused, you are not providing all the numbers, your advertising info only to Feb, your sales only to May, and your cost highlighted until March. We are in July, why not all of your numbers are up to june ? Can you please provide a video walk through of your earnings ?

Shopify has an accounting plugin. There's no structure as a business. Profit generated is claimed under the eCommerce tax forms in canada, as far as accounting it's simply a spreadsheet
